If there's one thing you can count on for Genshin: it's music will be top-notch. I love how each region shows off the musical styles of a real-world region!

    - Oud (2 of them)
    - Riqq (3 drums)
    - Kamanja (Arabian violin notes)
    - Santur
    - Saz/Baglama
    Indian:

I may be biased because I'm South Asian but Sumeru is my fave region. Exciting, fresh, doesn't have hard puzzles, fun to explore cuz of the ziplining, bouncy mushrooms and stamina helpers on the cliff sides. They did amazing with it. I doubted the characters at the start but I never once doubted the region itself. Phenomenal work.

Amazing music, the fact that they made this in an actual forest to give a more authentic feeling shows their complete dedication to this game and it's music, plus the use of all the various native instruments in their music from various countries of South Asia and West Asia gives it a realistic feeling, for example the Sitar is from my country of India and seeing it used here in most of Sumeru's music makes me very happy to know that these amazing instruments from my country can be heard by many others around the world allowing a major part of my culture to be represented globally ☺️

    • Tangerine

@mira Middle Eastern countries are in Western. There's at least 5 instruments that are from those countries like Iran, Palestine, Turkey, Egypt etc.
Oud, riqq, kamanja, santur, baglama etc. (mainly Turkish, Persian, Arabic)
Indian/South Asian instruments are the tabla, sitar, bansuri, dhol
Though in this video, I think they only used the santur (could be wrong) but in the other video played for the 3.0 livestream, you could see other instruments as well.

You guys do realise that the term "Middle-East" is more of a western term for the whole area, the correct term for that region is West Asia, of course you all are free to use any terms you like, as for instruments outside of my country of India i don't have much knowledge of, i am only aware of the Indian ones, since Sumeru music is made from both West Asian and South Asian instruments i presumed that the ones i don't know of are from West Asia, no need to argue too much about this stuff 😅

Now THIS is true globalization and cultural exchange. Taking the best of a wide variety of cultures and merging it in what has to be one of the BEST pieces of modern art. Music is the Universal language, it transcends hatred and division, it brings people together and unite them in a single harmony of peace and love.
Doesnt really matter how much is Indian, or South, Western asian, arabic, etc. It is more than just that, it is the expression of what Chinese people understand of what was beyond their part of the silk road. Hoyoverse and Hoyomix take representation to a whole new level, making pure art and respecting the place of milennial cultures that historically have been interacting peacefully and violently through countless generations.
This is coming from a Latino that grew up in constant discord with my fellow Latinos, we are all one, stop the fighting and enjoy the art.

For info- Jnana is pronounced as Gyaan meaning knowledge/information and Vidya is synonymous with Jnana in Sanskrit. It essentially refers to a more trustworthy, formal and scrupulous knowledge. You can have Jnana of anything which may or may not be correct but Vidya is truth incarnate erupting from Gyaan.

Forest of jnana and vidhya means forest of birth and wisdom in our language it's quite surprising to see this game exactly grasped names from our culture even we don't know all of these words meanings but they created something out of it like rukudevata truly wonderful.
Edit: even those instruments they are using is from our culture.really hats off to genshin i really surprised how they get to know all these things like the music, instruments, names, areas etc.

    • emiki6
      emiki6 16 일 전 +1

Here are some wisdom from Dr K about jnana and vidya as Buddhist concepts:
"Vidya is objective information that can be transmitted from one person to another, but does not directly lead to change."
"Jnana is a subjective understanding of a concept that arises as a result of experience of contemplation, and ultimately leads to change."
"Current society tends to value objective information - proof, grades, evidence - over subjective understanding. However, the yogis realized that change happens through subjective understanding (jnana) as opposed to the transmission of information (vidya). Too much of “self-help” literature is devoted to the transmission of information, without catalyzing the understanding that is needed to create sustainable change in your life."
So in short jnana and vidya is about the duality of knowledge. It looks like, in the game, the Akademiya is all about vidya and neglects jnana.

@Lokesh Roll you're confusing janana with jnana,

      Jnana - knowledge
      Jana - people

    • Lokesh Roll
      Lokesh Roll 18 일 전 +3

@Naruto Uzumaki no knowledge, wisdom, education everything related to it comes under vidhya
Edit:i just remembered jnana also have 3meanings in our language those are birth, knowledge and people.but for some reason google is only mentioning knowledge which is strange cause we use this word frequently but Google didn't mentioned all of its meanings.
